• Calf and shin injuries are very common in new runners, many of the calf muscles/tendons attach to the shin and foot, if they become tight or inflamed they can cause pain in these areas so it is important to warm up all areas of calf.
• To stretch the inside of your calf, turn your feet outwards
• To stretch the outside of your calf, turn your feet inwards
• To stretch the Soleus (this is the one just above your Achilles tendon bend your knee when doing the calf stretch
